ARE YOU ONE, THAT WAS LOST

"For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." -Luke 19:10

It is so frustrating when you find yourself driving down a street, but you are unsure if you are going in the right direction. Even walking in the mall, if you are not careful you will exit through a different exit and all of a sudden find yourself looking for your car as if it is lost. As frustrating as it is to lose your wallet or lose your watch, or some other material item that has sentimental or perhaps great monetary value, there is a reason to rejoice over something that was lost. Perhaps we didn’t even consider it when it was lost but when we find it, we rejoice over that which was lost.

The good news of Luke 19:10 as Jesus is speaking to Zacchaeus he tells him that He came to seek and to save that which was lost. Isn’t it awesome to know that when we were lost, the God that loves us, was looking for us. When we were wandering in sin, on our way to eternal damnation, God sent His Son to find all who was lost that we might be saved. I am thankful to be one who was lost. No longer hidden under my faults and failures, I have been delivered from my disappointments. I am no longer on a path of misery and confusion, without a destination or destiny. Because of the love of God, He found me and saved me, I was lost but now I am found.

Consider your life today and where God has brought you from. If you can remember when you were lost, when you didn’t know what your future held. When you struggled to get up because you had no hope and no understanding of where you would spend eternity. That is when you were lost, but today you can rejoice because you WAS LOST!! You might not want to admit getting lost driving your car, but it is worth shouting about being one who WAS LOST in sin, until Jesus found you, saved you and now you are on your way to spend eternity with Him. I Thank God that I know that I know that I WAS LOST, BUT now I AM FOUND!

ARE YOU A MAN OF GOD

"An the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee. Thou mighty man of valor." -Judges 6:12

It is one thing to be a church member but another to with God. As we celebrate the men of Bethlehem we encourage each of you that the Lord sees you as a Man of Valor. Gideon was hiding in the mountains from his enemies, he and the Israelites were being oppressed by the Midianites. However God had a plan to restore and to give the victory to Gideon. Despite his circumstances or what appeared to be a difficult situation God already saw the victory in his life.

Men of God we have to walk by faith knowing that our circumstances do not define us. We have to know that our setbacks and disappointments are not the things that determine our destiny. What you have been or done in your past do not define the possibilities of what God can do through you and to you in your future. Every man who stands on the promises of Jesus Christ who walks with Him in the power of his resurrection is born again man of God who is with God? Being with God has nothing to do with your position in church; rather it has everything to do with your purpose in the kingdom. Being with God describes a relationship, an intimate personal commitment to knowing the God that knows you.

Perhaps you have not considered who you are, or what your Kingdom relationship is with God? Today is a good day to put the past behind you and do like Gideon, get on the Lord’s side. Gideon lacked confidence and he complained about what he didn’t have and his current status in life. However, at the end of his story, we find him victorious in battle, defeating his enemies and believing in the power of His God.

Where will you stand, what will you stand for and who will you stand with? Are you a Man with God, or are you one who will continue to allow circumstances and situation to define and defeat you? I choose to be on the Lord’s side and to live my life as a better husband, father, son, brother, uncle, teacher, preacher and Pastor. Not because of who I am but simply because I know that I am A MAN WITH GOD
