There are those who ask the question what is the real reason for the season? Why would a God, disrobe himself of divinity and allow himself to be born in the feeding trough of an animal? Why would, an all powerful, all knowing, everlasting and eternal God, put on skin and tissue flesh that was eventually going to die?
The answer might be found In Isaiah’s prophecy about the child that would be born. Isaiah says, that the savior was born unto us, and that the Son was given to us. When I read this verse I realize that the truth about why he came provides humanity with an amazing example of God’s love. The God that created the entire universe, who made the majestic mountains and planted all of the beautiful flowers in paradise, came to earth because he loved me.
His love for humanity is the guiding force behind his journey from Creator to Calvary. With God giving so much to us, why are we so reluctant to give ourselves back to Him? Why do we fail to give out of our resources to others who are in need? If you are wondering what is the true meaning of Christmas. The short answer is; He came for us.

When we read God’s word, we do not always believe what we read. There is a growing number of Christians who fall into this unbelieving category. They can hear the word, read the word and even say that they believe, but there faith does not allow them to let their walk match their talk.
Mary the mother of Jesus, is celebrating the fact that God has shown favor by selecting her to give birth the Messiah. Her song says, blessed is she that believed, for there shall be a performance of the things that were told to her. God’s word tells us that we are sons and daughters of the king. We have an inheritance that is more than silver and gold. We have access to the power of God that is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above anything we can ask or think.
If we believe in God’s word then we know that we already have the victory. However, many believers do not walk in faith. We have limited faith, that prevents us from believing everything that God says. I am convinced that the people of God can rise above their circumstances, if they would just believe, I trust God that it shall be.
