Message From Youth Pastor
A very good day to you. It is a good day because this is the day that the Lord has made and for that we ought to be glad. Aren’t you glad that you have God? Don’t you wish that everybody did? I’m Aaron Williams the Youth Pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Our Youth Ministry is one of the fastest growing ministries in the church. We are a department that is on the move for the Lord. I have added what we called youth advisors to aide me so that we might have more role model for our kids so that they may learn all that they can about our Lord and Our Savior Jesus Christ. For the scripture tells us in 1st Thessalonians "Ye are the children of the light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do other, but let us watch and be sober."
This ministry is helping to prepare them to be servant leaders for the next generations to come. How can we accomplish this with our kids? We can by Discipline, Prayer, Activities, Mission Trips, visit to our local nursing homes, Fellowship with other churches (not just our own church) Youth Explosion, Vacation Bible School, Wednesday Youth Prayer and Bible Study and events the will aide in building up the body for Christ. The old folk use to say that an idol mine is the devil’s workshop that’s why we must keep their mines occupied. The United Negro College has this slogan "A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Waste" so I say lets do all that we can to keep those precious minds occupied.
After all our children they are the future of the church they are the ones that we must encourage to do well and put God first in all that they do. They are the future teachers of our Sunday school and officers of the church. "Train up a child in the way he shall go, even when he is old he will not depart from it… Proverbs 22:6 This ministry is designed to lead and encourage all of the kids that come in contact with Bethlehem to a deeper relationship with Jesus; for he is the light of the world.
We have a duty to do all that we can to keep our kids focus. There is so much evil and bad thing is out in this world trying to destroy our kids. That’s why we need to continue to pray for them we must pray that God will continue to bless them and keep them safe with his loving arms of protection. We must also pray they understand that the Lord he is our Light and our Salvation for whom shall we fear.
I would like to personally ask the youth to accept this as your invitation to stop and visit Bethlehem for we "Walk by Faith and not by Sight" we would be so delighted to have you in the mist of our company.
